Ao Yon Anchorage (Cape Panwa)

A small bay on the west side of Cape Panwa with a good swimming beach, beach restaurants and moderate shelter in both monsoons. The Southeast Asia Pilot groups it with the anchorage off the Phuket Aquarium at the tip of the cape.
Practical
Ao Yon: 4-6 m, mud; enter from the east, inside the line of fish farms. Aquarium area: 6-8 m, mud; keep clear of the floating pearl farm (SEAP). Moderate shelter in either season. Ashore at Ao Yon: a few restaurants and small beach clubs, including The Cove (Phuket 101). The Phuket Aquarium and Panwa viewpoint are a short walk or ride away. The coordinate is the single SEAP waypoint given for Ao Yon and the Aquarium.
