Koh Lon (Lone Island)
7° 47.3′ N · 98° 22.2′ E · approximate
A largely undeveloped island about 3 km long in the mouth of Chalong Bay, with coconut-lined beaches, a small fishing village on the east side and a few simple resorts. It is a 10-minute longtail ride from Chalong Pier or Panwa Bali.
Practical
Coordinate is the OSM island centroid, not an anchorage; for an overnight spot see Koh Lon North Shore Anchorage (Lo Ne Beach). No pilot-guide anchorage data was found for Koh Lon, so sound carefully and treat it as a daytime stop from Chalong. Wikivoyage notes the water is less clear than at other islands, which makes the snorkelling poorer; a small grocery has very basic supplies. Phuket Yacht Club's Koh Lon Scumbag Cup race rounds the island each April.
Best for
A quiet beach walk close to the Chalong anchorage
