Chalong Pier One-Stop Clearance Center (Customs, Immigration, Harbour Master)

7° 49.1′ N · 98° 21.0′ E

The Ao Chalong One Stop Services building, three-quarters of the way down Chalong Pier, houses Immigration, Customs and the Harbour Master in one place. Foreign yachts must clear here within 24 hours of arriving in Phuket before going anywhere else.

Practical

Per Noonsite (Mar 2026): Yacht Control Center open daily; check-in 9am-2:45pm, check-out 9am-2:10pm, lunch 12pm-1pm. Harbour Master officially closed Sundays; weekend/holiday clearance costs more. First-time entrants register online at yacht.phuket.go.th or with help at the Yacht Control Center; this system is not connected to the Marine Department single window, so register separately there too. Order of visits: Harbour Master, then Immigration (photo and four-finger scan; all crew and passengers must attend in and out), then Customs (best 10am-11:30am; bring Customs Declaration in duplicate, Form 372, registration certificate, original clearance from last port, passports, AIS certificate, all with copies, plus a photo of the boat showing its name). Customs grants a 6-month permit. Fees (paid on departure, Noonsite 2026): Immigration 200 THB weekdays, 310 THB weekends/holidays (+1,000 THB if you flew out of Thailand since clearing in); Customs inward free, outward 200 THB, weekends 800 THB in / 1,000 THB out; Harbour Master free, 1,000 THB Sundays/holidays. Clearing out takes at least an hour (registration, Harbour Master, Immigration, Customs) and you then have 24 hours to leave; insist on exit stamps in passports (a TM1 slip was refused by the Maldives in March 2026). AIS is mandatory and must be on whenever under way in Thai waters (since 1 Jan 2016). Moving to another province (Phang Nga, Krabi) requires a Harbour Master departure clearance; a 5,000 THB fine has been reported. Visa extension 1,900 THB with proof of residence. Pier shuttle bus 10 THB return. Photocopies 10 THB each, bring small notes.
