English Caye Light & Pilot Station

The lighthouse caye on the south side of the English Caye Channel, the deep-water ship entrance through the barrier reef to Belize City, and the station where pilots board inbound ships from the east.
Practical
Belize City is a compulsory pilotage area: without a pilotage waiver a pilot boards at English Caye if you approach from the east, or off Grennell's Caye if you come up the inner channel from the south (Ventura Yacht Agency; waiver fees on the BTB tariff start only above 50 GT). Good snorkelling to the northeast of the caye; day stop only (Moorings). Position: OpenStreetMap English Caye Light.
