La Gringa Estuary Sluice Ride
29° 2.1′ N · 113° 32.8′ W · approximate
On full and new moons, 9+ ft tides flood La Gringa's small estuary and then pour back out through a stream — float down it on anything that floats, then walk back and do it again.
Practical
Coordinate is approximate, at the stream exit west of the La Gringa anchorage pin. Land the dinghy on the west side of the stream mouth, walk across the bar and drop into the lagoon on the ebb. Wear a life jacket; watch the current at the mouth.
