Isla La Ventana–Cerraja Snorkel Loop
28° 59.8′ N · 113° 30.9′ W · approximate
A figure-eight snorkel around Isla La Ventana and little Isla Cerraja from a dinghy anchored between them — 'a fun little jaunt with lots to see'.
Practical
Coordinate is the approximate midpoint between the two islands' positions in the Wikipedia islands table (La Ventana 28.99614, -113.50974; Cerraja 28.99676, -113.51919). The gap between them carries 15–30 ft mid-channel and is the usual approach to the La Ventana anchorage (30–35 ft, excellent holding in firm sand). Mind the current. A scattered reef lies off La Ventana's SE side, and a pinnacle rock sits just east of Isla Jorobado in line with the entrance to Pata y Bota.
