Isla Coronado East Walls Dive

26° 7.6′ N · 111° 15.5′ W

Walls and large boulders off Coronado's east side, near the Las Lajas rocks, with quite a few fish.

Practical

Coordinate is the dive position (26°07.6'N, 111°15.5'W) given by the yacht BlueJacket's log (dived in 2011); OpenStreetMap's 'Las Lajas' rock is about 180 m west (26.12603, -111.26005). Reach it by dinghy only in light winds; the east side is exposed to the Gulf. CONANP protected-area fee applies: a Loreto Bay National Park day pass (bracelet) was MX$215 per person in 2025, and the annual Conservation Passport (MX$3,620 in 2025) covers every federal protected area; buy online at descubreanp.conanp.gob.mx or from the rangers at La Dársena in Loreto, and carry proof aboard.
