Isla Coronado North-East Boulders Dive

26° 8.2′ N · 111° 16.3′ W

Large boulders down to sand and gravel at about 42 ft off Coronado's north side, with many large fish.

Practical

Coordinate is the dive position (26°08.21'N, 111°16.29'W) given by the yacht BlueJacket's 2012 log, checked in-water against the OpenStreetMap coastline. Dinghy round from the west anchorage in light winds. Nearby to the east, Piedras Blancas point hosts many pelicans, with a shallow (about 25 ft) fish-filled bay between it and the north-east sea-lion colony—better for snorkeling than diving. CONANP protected-area fee applies: a Loreto Bay National Park day pass (bracelet) was MX$215 per person in 2025, and the annual Conservation Passport (MX$3,620 in 2025) covers every federal protected area; buy online at descubreanp.conanp.gob.mx or from the rangers at La Dársena in Loreto, and carry proof aboard.
