Beach· Naxos· Greece — Cyclades
Mikri Vigla & Sahara Beaches (Naxos)
37° 0.9′ N · 25° 22.6′ E
Twin beaches either side of a rocky headland: the north side is a world-known kite and windsurf beach, while the southern Sahara (Limanakia) beach is long, sandy and sheltered from the meltemi, so it suits families.
Practical
Greeka: soft golden sand and turquoise water; Kavos beach lies between the two. Restaurants (Kontos, with sea views), cafes and hotels nearby. 12 km from Chora; bus lines 1 and 3. Position: OSM 'Mikri Vigla Beach (South)'. For kitesurfing see Mikri Vigla Kitesurf (Naxos). From the water this is an open, exposed coast with no harbour; see West-Coast Lee Shore (Plaka–Mikri Vigla) before anchoring.
