Alyko Cedar Forest & Hawaii and Kedros Beaches (Naxos)
36° 59.0′ N · 25° 23.2′ E
Sand dunes and a protected cedar (sea-juniper) forest roll down to a string of turquoise coves on the Alyko peninsula. Hawaii is the famous one; Kedros, the largest, is a sandy walk away and favoured by naturists.
Practical
Greeka: Kedros has no amenities, so bring water and shade; a food truck sells drinks and snacks; the cedar forest above is a protected natural area. About 18 km south of Chora; bus line 3. Hawaii beach is at 36.9806, 25.38636 (OSM). From a yacht, anchor in Alyko Anchorage (Naxos) and dinghy in; land gently on the sand and stay off the dunes. Position: OSM 'Kedros Beach'.
