Río Azúcar Village Water Dock
9° 25.9′ N · 78° 37.6′ W · approximate
The village of Río Azúcar on the mainland coast between Nargana and Green Island lets visiting boats fill water tanks at its dock, one of the few places in the central islands to take on water without a watermaker.
Practical
Coordinate approximate: the village point in OpenStreetMap (node 7797618917); find the dock by eye. SY Juliane (Noonsite, April/May 2016) reported filling water possible at the dock in Río Azúcar. Noonsite's 2018 list gives a $2 per person visitor fee and notes a health clinic. Water quality is unknown: filter or treat before drinking (Porvenir's rainwater catchments give water of variable quality, Noonsite). Come alongside only in calm conditions with fenders out, and ask permission and the price first.
