Leno's Store & Corazón de Jesús Shops

9° 26.8′ N · 78° 35.0′ W

Corazón de Jesús, Nargana's bridge-linked twin, has the central San Blas's best produce and the only fresh-baked bread, in Leno's tiny shop at the very back of the island.

Practical

Position is the OpenStreetMap outline of Corazón de Jesús islet (relation 11485647). Spirit of Argo (2016): best vegetables and fresh bread at Leno's store 'at the very back' of Corazón; more goods are sold from a plain house with crates outside (ask locals to point it out); beer from a 'beer reserve' beyond the basketball court; Colombian trading boats tied between the two islands are usually cheaper, and Spanish helps. Prices run a little above the veggie boats and the Porvenir area. Nargana and Corazón have dropped many traditional Guna rules, so alcohol is sold, but they are not a tourist stop: expect no customer service and plenty of rubbish in the water (don't swim here). Anchor N 09°26.363' W 078°35.128', 10 m mangrove mud, well back from the noisy power plant; in settled weather a north-side spot is closer to the shops. Cash only: no ATM. The CZJ airstrip on Corazón makes this a crew-change option.
