Nargana Cafés & Waterfront Restaurant

9° 26.7′ N · 78° 35.2′ W · approximate

A handful of simple cafés on the bridge-linked islands of Narganá and Corazón de Jesús, where cruisers stopping to provision eat chicken and chips with a cold beer looking over the trading-boat dock.

Practical

Coordinate approximate: Narganá island in OpenStreetMap (relation 11485646). SY Balvenie (2012) ate at the café right on the end (only it and 'Nell's', which was closed): chicken and chips and cold beer, cheap and tasty, but nothing else on the menu; they tied the dinghy along the front by the cafés and a dinghy-repair place. Spirit of Argo (2016) found a tiny restaurant by one of the docks for a cold beer and a breeze (it kept a spider monkey on a lead). Service is unhurried; the islands' 'beer reserve' was on the far side of the basketball court. No ATM; the bank changes Colombian pesos but does not dispense cash. Don't swim here: the water is dirty.
