Nargana Fuel, Propane & Trading-Boat Supplies

9° 26.8′ N · 78° 35.0′ W · approximate

Nargana–Corazón de Jesús is the trading hub of the central San Blas, where Colombian supply boats dock between the islands and cruisers can find petrol, diesel and propane along with the best fresh produce in the area.

Practical

Coordinate approximate: Corazón de Jesús in OpenStreetMap; trading boats tie up between the two bridge-linked islands. Spirit of Argo (2016): petrol, diesel and propane available; best selection of vegetables and fresh-baked bread in Leno's tiny store at the very back of Corazón de Jesús; it is usually cheaper to buy directly from the trading boats (Spanish helps); prices a bit higher than the veggie boats or the Porvenir area. SY Balvenie (2012) heard diesel and petrol were generally available. Bring your own jerry cans and filters; fuel quality and supply vary with the boats. No ATM (the bank only changes Colombian pesos). Fresh river water is collected up the Río Diablo (see that entry). Ice is scarce in the comarca (Wikivoyage).
