Man O' War Bay Anchorage (Raccoon Cay)
22° 20.9′ N · 75° 47.9′ W
A bay between the south end of Raccoon Cay and Nairn Cay, popular for riding out cold fronts, with a lively reef between the two cays.
Practical
ActiveCaptain: approach from the south and enter close to either Raccoon Cay or Nairn Cay; there is a 4-ft shoal in the middle. Good holding toward the north end of the bay. Surge in easterly swell or wind; not good in southerlies. Land on the beach on the east side of Raccoon Cay (west side of the bay). Limited cell signal (Duncan Town tower). MV Privateer: popular for fronts. The beach collects a lot of washed-up plastic (2023).
