Double Breasted Cay cave, trails and kitesurf flats
22° 18.6′ N · 75° 45.8′ W · approximate
Shallow turquoise flats behind a sandbar south of the point make some of the most beautiful flat-water kiting in the Bahamas, and an ocean-side loop hike circles the cay.
Practical
The small beach in the SE corner of the anchorage lets you cross to the ocean side; walk the whole coast clockwise back to the dinghy in one to two hours, with a short swim near the end; bring water. noforeignland lists a cave, hikes, the kite spot and great snorkelling here. Kite only in steady E-SE trades and keep clear of anchored boats.
Best for
Kiteboarding and a half-day coastal hike
