Little Harbour Turtles
26° 19.7′ N · 77° 0.0′ W · approximate
Little Harbour and the adjoining Bight of Old Robinson are thick with sea turtles - cruisers count dozens in an hour - with occasional manatees and a pair of lemon sharks that patrol the harbour.
Practical
Coordinate is approximate: the centre of the Little Harbour mooring field. Watch from the dinghy at idle; never feed or touch. BMMRO reports about three West Indian manatees are often seen in Abaco and now breed locally - report manatee sightings to bahamaswhales.org. ActiveCaptain community reports date from 2011-2019, before Hurricane Dorian (Category 5, Sept 1, 2019) hit Abaco; re-check bottom, markers and businesses locally.
