Palm Island Dinghy Landing and Visitor Access Rules

How to get ashore on Palm Island, a private resort island: land on the west-coast beach in the lee, stay below the high-water mark and keep to the visitor end of the beach.

Practical

Coordinate is derived: water just off the west point of Palm Island beside the resort reception (OpenStreetMap island outline way 25000564 and resort building way 1251112913); the two resort jetties are on this west coast (Discover SVG) but no source confirms that visiting yachts may tie dinghies to them, so ask on VHF 16 first or beach the dinghy. Marinas.com: the island is private, but you can land and enjoy the beach below the high-water mark; respect the privacy and quiet of the hotel residences. Discover SVG: day visitors are generally restricted to the southern end of the west beach. Anchor off the docks in 15-20 ft, sand, fair holding (Doyle); rolly in any swell. With the resort closed after Hurricane Beryl (Doyle 2025) there are no services ashore - bring water and take all rubbish back aboard.
