Casuarina Beach (Palm Island)
12° 35.2′ N · 61° 24.0′ W · approximate
Palm Island is almost entirely ringed by white sand - five beaches in all - including Casuarina Beach and the long west-coast beach where visiting day boats land.
Practical
Coordinate is derived: the island's west shore near the docks (OpenStreetMap coastline); the exact extent of Casuarina Beach was not confirmed. The tourism authority says day visitors are generally restricted to the southern end of the west beach, which had a bar open to visitors; with the resort closed after Hurricane Beryl, expect no services. Respect private resort areas. Wildlife: introduced land tortoises, iguanas, herons and frigatebirds.
Best for
A barefoot walk on a resort-island beach
