Clifton Kitesurfing (Union Island)

12° 35.9′ N · 61° 24.8′ W

Clifton's reef-protected flat water and steady trades make Union one of the Caribbean's best kite and wing-foil spots, home to JT Pro Center, founded by pro kiter Jeremie Tronet.

Practical

Position is Kite Beach as mapped in OpenStreetMap, on the airport side of Clifton Harbour. JT Pro Center teaches kitesurfing and wing foiling with private boat support; season mid-November to July; two spots (knee-deep learning area and a larger flat-water area) plus downwinders to Frigate. Kiters cross the mooring field and reef - keep a lookout when snorkelling or driving the dinghy. Stay clear of the airport approach: SVG Air warns that parasailing-type activity south of the airport disrupts landings.
