Clifton Customs and Immigration (Union Island)

12° 35.9′ N · 61° 25.0′ W · approximate

Clifton is the southern Grenadines' port of entry for St Vincent and the Grenadines; after Hurricane Beryl the officers work from the Bougainvilla complex on the waterfront.

Practical

Coordinate is derived: the Bougainvilla building on OpenStreetMap; Doyle (2025) puts customs/immigration behind the Bougainvilla restaurant, and Noonsite (Feb 2025) says officials attend daily at the Bougainvilla Restaurant and Bar. Pre-Beryl the offices were in one building near Hugh Mulzac Square (OpenStreetMap: 12.5971, -61.4172), about 150 m left of the dinghy dock. Clearance via SailClear (complete online before arrival and bring your notification number and documents). Hours: Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm (Noonsite); overtime is charged outside hours. It is no longer possible to clear at the airport. Authorities expect arriving yachts to anchor or moor in Clifton Harbour to clear; boats anchoring at Frigate or Chatham Bay without clearing risk a fine. From Chatham Bay, Tenuta Resort can act as agent (EC$100 fee, Doyle 2025; arrange in advance). Tourism office: +1 784 458 8350.
