Vieques' ferry town is where islanders eat: a handful of criollo kitchens, cafes and snack spots a few blocks from the ferry dock, worth a stop when you come up by car or ferry from Esperanza.
Practical
Position is Rising Roost on Calle Luis Muñoz Rivera (OpenStreetMap). Places mapped or listed in town: Rising Roost (restaurant, OpenStreetMap); D'Frozz (cafe, OpenStreetMap, a block away at 18.14875 N, 65.44211 W); Shauna's in Isabel II (Wikivoyage: criollo Puerto Rican food, very reasonably priced, where locals eat, good flan); Aurora's Chicken & Grill on PR-201 south of town (daily 10:30 am to 8:30 pm, +1 787-741-3002, OpenStreetMap). Bakeries for breakfast: Panadería El Viequense and Lydia's Bakery (see Vieques groceries). The Isabel Segunda roadstead is not a tenable overnight anchorage (cruising guide), so most sailors reach town by car or taxi from Esperanza or by ferry from Ceiba. Listings are sparse and change often: ask locally and verify hours.
