Fortín Conde de Mirasol
18° 8.8′ N · 65° 26.3′ W
The last Spanish fort built in the Americas, a brick bastion begun in 1845 on the hill above Isabel Segunda, restored in 1991 and now the Vieques Museum of Art and History with the island's historic archives.
Practical
Coordinates from Wikipedia/GeoHack. A short uphill walk from the ferry pier and the Isabel Segunda anchorage. Wikivoyage lists hours of Wednesday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm and phone +1 787-741-1717, but that listing is old: verify locally before walking up. Managed by the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture; on the US National Register of Historic Places since 1977. Good views over Bahía de Mulas toward Culebra and the main island.
