Ratanachai Slipway (Tha Chin River)

The largest of the local shipyards around Phuket Town, just inside the entrance of the Tha Chin River. It slips vessels up to 52 m and 210 tonnes and offers full services, making it the budget alternative to the marina yards for big or long jobs.

Position approximate: SEAP places the yard just inside the Tha Chin River entrance, east of the Rassada ferry terminal, and the point is estimated from the OSM river line and the Rassada pier; it is not a navigation waypoint. SEAP gives capacity of 52 m and 210 t, with depth on the slip of 1.95 m at the bow and 3.95 m at the stern; the river entrance is shallow, so enter at high tide only, ideally on the three-quarter rising tide behind a fishing boat (see the Koh Siray river passage). SEAP lists the website as ratanachai-slipway.com, which did not resolve when checked in October 2026. Book a cradle ahead and send the foreman a photo or plan of the underwater hull.
