Phuket Provincial Immigration Office (Phuket Town)

7° 52.2′ N · 98° 23.6′ E

The provincial immigration office on Phuket Road in Phuket Town, separate from the clearance desk at Chalong Pier. Yacht crews come here for in-country matters that the pier desk does not handle, such as the paperwork to leave a boat in Thailand without its captain, and complaints.

Practical

Coordinate is the OSM building for Phuket Immigration Office, 482 Phuket Road, Talat Yai. OSM lists hours of Monday to Friday 8:30am to noon and 1pm to 4:30pm; phone 076 221 905; website phuketimmigration.go.th (its certificate had expired in October 2026). A Noonsite report (2017) says you must come here to pay a 2,000 THB one-off fee or lodge a 20,000 THB refundable bond before leaving the boat in Thailand with no captain aboard; verify locally. Bring passports, the boat's papers and copies. Foreigners staying long term should ask here about address reporting (90-day reports) and visa extensions. Note: harbour-master departure clearance between provinces is done upstairs in the Chalong One-Stop building, not here.
