Go early in the morning for the best produce and the coolest shopping. Ranong Road is also where the buses to the beaches and the airport leave from, and during the Vegetarian Festival it becomes the main food street. Bring cash in small baht notes and your own bags. Wash produce in treated water before stowing it.
