Koh Tachai Beach
9° 4.3′ N · 97° 48.9′ E
One of the most beautiful beaches in the Andaman, a long sweep of white sand on Koh Tachai's east side backed by forest, with a former camp ground and trails to a forest and a viewpoint.
Practical
Coordinate is the OSM-mapped beach. Closed to visitors: day visits stopped in May 2016 and the island has stayed closed to tourists on land, with the 2025 pilot update confirming it, so the 500 m forest trail and the 700 m viewpoint trail (Thai National Parks) are off-limits. Admire it from the boat. Check with the park at Koh Miang whether landing rules have changed.
Best for
Looking, not landing, while it recovers
Season
Closed to landing (2016 to at least 2025)
