Koh Panyi Floating Football Pitch

Village boys inspired by the 1986 World Cup built a floating pitch from scrap wood and fishing rafts. Panyee FC went on to win six South Thailand youth championships between 2004 and 2010, and the wooden pitch still floats beside the village.
Practical
Position approximate: within the stilt-village footprint (Wikipedia gives the village at 8.3356N 98.5031E); ask in the village for the way along the walkways. A newer pitch was later built ashore. A 2011 TMB Bank campaign film made the team famous.
