Koh Klum

11° 55.4′ N · 102° 21.8′ E · approximate

A 4 km rocky ridge island about 7 km south of Bang Bao, with no settlement but a fisherman's shack and one thin strip of white sand. Good snorkelling at its northeast corner and off the southeast beach, with few visitors.

Practical

Iamkohchang: the only sand beach is on the southeast shore, with rock and coral close inshore; the other 'beaches' seen from a distance are dead coral. Snorkel the northeastern corner and the southeastern shore. The waters are good for fishing. No anchoring guidance is published, so treat it as a calm-weather day stop and keep off the coral. Half-day speedboat trips from Koh Chang combine Koh Klum, Koh Wai and Koh Lao Ya. The coordinate is placed off the northeast corner, from OpenStreetMap's Koh Klum outline.

Best for

A quiet snorkel and fishing stop between Bang Bao and Koh Wai
