St John's Harbour & Heritage Quay
17° 7.3′ N · 61° 50.8′ W
The capital's cruise-ship waterfront: Heritage Quay's duty-free shopping, and next door Redcliffe Quay, a restored 18th-century warehouse district that was once the colony's main slave-trading and rum-and-sugar wharf, now full of galleries and cafés.
Practical
Pin is the Heritage Quay hotel node (OSM). Busy when cruise ships are in. Groceries and provisions in town are readily available and often cheaper than elsewhere (Noonsite). St John's also has the Museum of Antigua & Barbuda and the cathedral (AMG). Buses to all parts of the island leave from the West and East bus stations.
Best for
A day in town from the St John's anchorage
