Porto Bay Anchorage (Erikoussa)

39° 52.6′ N · 19° 34.9′ E

Anchor off Porto beach, a sweep of golden sand east of the harbour, in clear water over sand with the beach taverna a short swim away.

Practical

Coordinate from mySea (2–6 m, sand, good holding). Anchor preferably west of the submarine cables shown on Garmin charts, away from the power station and nearer the beach taverna Anemomylos (SailingIssues). A shallower spot further east logs 1–3 m (mySea, 39.8801, 19.59433). Open to the south. Swimming and snorkelling at Porto beach is a staple of Corfu day tours (SeaDreamers). The island's other beaches are Bragini and Fiki (Wikipedia).
