Erikoussa Harbour

39° 52.7′ N · 19° 34.7′ E

The only port on Erikoussa, the green, cypress-covered northernmost Diapontia island, rebuilt in 2019 with a straightened breakwater, laid moorings and a dredged basin — a reliable night's shelter beside a golden beach and a single village.

Practical

Coordinate from mySea (harbour, 5 m, stern-to; mud and shingle, good holding). Since the 2019 rebuild there are safe laid moorings on the east and south corners and the basin is squared and dredged to 3–4 m; the breakwater is suitable to go stern-to; leave the ferry berth clear (SailingIssues). Approach from the south to avoid the reefs that run out about 100 m from both capes, Ak Katergo and Ak Stamoleka (SailingIssues, mySea). A small jetty offers alongside berthing (mySea, 39.87818, 19.5791). In strong southerlies move to Mathraki, Fyki bay on Othonoi, or Kassiopi on Corfu (SailingIssues). About 12 nm north-west of Corfu — a settled-weather trip (George Yachts). Population 447 (2021); many families emigrated to the USA and return in summer (Wikipedia, SailingIssues).
