Sidari Canal d'Amour
39° 47.8′ N · 19° 41.9′ E
Wind-carved sandstone cliffs at Sidari form narrow channels, arches and sea caves with shallow turquoise water between them — the Canal d'Amour, where legend says couples who swim through will stay together.
Practical
Coordinate is the Canal d'Amour inlet (OpenStreetMap). Anchoring off Sidari: 5–10 m, sand, good holding; sheltered from the south but open to the north (George Yachts) — so a calm-day or southerly-wind stop only, as the prevailing summer NW blows straight onto this coast. Swim or dinghy into the channels; very crowded by midday in summer, arrive early (Greeka). Sidari has a small ferry quay used by Diapontia boats (OSM 39.79241, 19.71031).
Best for
Swimming through rock channels on a calm morning
Season
Calm or southerly weather; avoid in N–NW wind
