Corfu's famous 'double beach': two crescent coves back to back on the narrow isthmus of Cape Arilla below Afionas, one on each side — glorious from the water on a calm day.
Practical
Coordinate from SailingIssues (west of the isthmus). Depths 2–10 m, sand with seaweed patches (mySea). Open to the prevailing NW, otherwise a glorious spot (SailingIssues). A 20-minute footpath climbs to Afionas village (Wikipedia). Medieval fortification ruins lie between the village and the beach.
Best for
A calm-day lunch anchorage and photo stop
Season
Calm or easterly weather only
