Agios Stefanos (NW Corfu)
39° 45.2′ N · 19° 38.0′ E
A fishing harbour and sandy resort beach on Corfu's north-west tip (Agios Stefanos Avliotes), facing the Diapontia islands — the jumping-off point for Othonoi, Erikoussa and Mathraki. Not to be confused with Agios Stefanos Sinion on the north-east coast.
Practical
Coordinate is the small harbour (mySea). Depths 1–3 m, uneven: approach from the north and reconnoitre by dinghy first (mySea); stern-to, sand bottom with good holding. Exposed to the prevailing NW and to westerly swell — a settled-weather stop. Local ferries to the Diapontia islands leave from here (OSM ferry terminal 39.7539, 19.6332). Tavernas, bars and a few hotels ashore (Wikipedia).
