Coordinate from OpenStreetMap (building ruins named 'Ancien phare'), about 500 m north of the Kauehi Lodge on the ocean side of the rim. No published history or visiting notes were found; treat it as a ruin and don't climb it. It makes a handy walk ashore from the NW (Airport) anchorage. Go in reef shoes, since the outer rim is jagged coral. It is not a working navigation light; don't use it for night approaches.
