Crooked Island South Anchorage
22° 43.2′ N · 74° 17.3′ W
A sandy anchorage off a beautiful beach on Crooked Island's south-west coast just north of French Wells; reviewers praise the clear water, abundant marine life and good shelter even in strong winds.
Practical
noforeignland position N 22°43.174' W 074°17.347', sand in about 3-4 m. A shallow (2.5 m) sandbar lies on the approach and you must pick a spot between coral heads; coral also makes it hard to get the boat close to shore. Holding reported excellent. Beach landing by dinghy; good cell data. Open to the west.
