Petite Anse Anchorage (Anses d'Arlet)
14° 27.9′ N · 61° 4.2′ W
A small fishing village at the southern end of Les Anses-d'Arlet with a palm-lined beach in its northwest corner, under the volcanic bulk of Morne Larcher.
Practical
ActiveCaptain (2022): exposed to the SW but well protected from the prevailing wind, with swell no worse than the neighbouring bays. Many fishing floats; anchor on a sandy patch among the rocky bottom, probably to the south in front of the jetty. Fine overnight in normal conditions. Mostly a fishing village with few services. The trail over Morne Larcher to Anse Cafard starts here (see the Martinique South entries).
Best for
A quiet fishing-village alternative to the busier Arlet bays
