Petit St Vincent Anchorage

12° 32.0′ N · 61° 23.0′ W · approximate

The anchorage off the dock at the southern end of Caribbean Beach on Petit St Vincent (PSV), the southernmost island of SVG, with Mopion's sandbar and Petite Martinique close by.

Practical

Coordinate is derived: water just west of the PSV dock as mapped in OpenStreetMap; Doyle's waypoint 0.5 mile west of the dock is 12.5333, -61.3917. Current changes with the tide and yachts swing about when the wind drops; the reef off the dinghy dock extends farther than many expect. PSV monitors VHF 16. The resort has been closed since Hurricane Beryl (July 2024); its website says a re-opening date will be announced, and Wikipedia reports an aim to reopen in 2026. Petite Martinique, a mile south-east, is in Grenada: do not land there without clearing into Grenada.

Best for

A last SVG anchorage before Grenada, and the base for Mopion
