Grand Anse MPA Snorkel (Boss Reef shallows)
12° 2.6′ N · 61° 45.7′ W · approximate
The inshore edge of Boss Reef inside the Grand Anse Marine Protected Area starts at about 6 m, close enough for snorkellers to watch the reef from the GAMPA moorings off Pandy Beach and along toward Grand Anse.
Practical
Position is approximate, between the Pandy Beach mooring field and the WikiBubbles Boss Reef mark, in the water. Depth: Boss Reef rises to about 20 ft (6 m) per Eco Dive and WikiBubbles, so this is a deeper snorkel; most visitors join a Grand Anse dive shop's snorkel trip (Dive Grenada and Eco Dive run daily snorkel trips). No anchoring anywhere in the MPA south of 12°02.05'N; pick up a Gren-Moor mooring (US$10 a night in 2023 per Noonsite, verify locally). Keep well clear of the St George's harbour channel and ferry traffic.
