Boss Reef (originally Bass Reef) is the long reef system off Grand Anse Bay, running about 6 miles from outside St George's harbour south-west toward Point Salines. It slopes gently from about 6 m to 20–25 m, with soft corals near town and more stony corals further south.

Practical

Position is the WikiBubbles dive-directory mark at the St George's end of the reef. Depth 20–80 ft (6–25 m) per Eco Dive; WikiBubbles averages 9 m, maximum 19 m. All levels. Lobster, rays and octopus (Eco Dive). Several named dives sit on it, including the Japanese Gardens section and the MV Tyrrel Bay wreck just off it. It lies in the Grand Anse Marine Protected Area: no anchoring, so use the GAMPA moorings or an operator boat.
