White Bay (Guana Island) Anchorage
18° 28.4′ N · 64° 34.5′ W
The anchorage off Guana Island's largest beach, a half-mile of powder-white sand, on a private island that is 99% wild nature sanctuary; a beautiful daytime stop between Cane Garden Bay and the Camanoes.
Practical
Position is the 'Guana Island Moorings' listing on marinas.com, which records 13 moorings (fees not published). Guana is private: 'there is no public bar, marina, or any commercial facility' and only registered guests are permitted ashore (guana.com), so stay on the water or the beach below the high-water line. West-facing, sheltered in normal trades; avoid in north swell. Snorkel along the rocks at either end; Monkey Point is at the island's south-west tip.
