Muskmelon Bay (Guana Island)

18° 29.0′ N · 64° 34.7′ W · approximate

A small bay on Guana's north-west side under dramatic cliffs, with good coral, rays and turtles close to the boat and birds diving for baitfish.

Practical

Position approximate: north-west Guana Island, derived from the Wikipedia island position; Yacht Warriors' anchoring guidance is the source. No moorings. Anchor on the small sand patch about 400 ft south of the rocky beach in the north-east corner of the bay; if another boat is there, move on. Day stop only: close to shore and prone to backwinding in fresh trades. Guana is private ashore.
