7° 2.2′ N · 99° 28.4′ E · approximate
The marine park protecting Koh Phetra, Koh Lao Liang, Ko Khao Yai and the Bulon group along the Trang-Satun coast, 95% open water, with turtle nesting beaches and guarded swiftlet-nest islands.
Practical
Wikipedia: established 31 December 1984, 494 km² (about 468 km² water); islands include Ko Phetra, Ko Lao Liang Nuea and Tai, Ko Lidi, Ko Khao Yai and Ko Bulon. Several islands are swiftlet-nest concessions guarded with firearms; Wikipedia advises visiting them only with local tour companies whose boats the guards recognise. Thai Wikipedia says boat users should contact park officials. No published fee for these islands was found; expect a per-person park fee and verify locally. The park HQ location could not be confirmed from the sources. Position approximate: placed on Koh Phetra (OpenStreetMap), not at the HQ.
