Koh Lao Liang Climbing and Beaches

7° 6.5′ N · 99° 25.7′ E

Koh Lao Liang's twin limestone towers, about 300 m apart, offer sport climbing straight off the beach, small coves and shallow coral, run from a simple seasonal camp.

Practical

Southeast Asia Pilot notes small backpacker rock-climbing resorts with basic Thai restaurants on Koh Liang. Wikipedia: Ko Lao Liang Nuea and Ko Lao Liang Tai lie about 300 m apart, with small beaches, bird's-nest concessions and shallow reefs. Respect the nest concessions: stay away from guarded cliffs and caves, which Wikipedia says are guarded with firearms. Bring your own climbing gear or ask at the camp. Position from the OpenStreetMap Ko Liang Tai islet.
