Khao Ra Summit Hike
9° 45.7′ N · 100° 1.3′ E
Khao Ra is the highest point on Koh Phangan, at 627 m, rising from the jungle between Chaloklum and Thong Nai Pan, with views across the Gulf to Koh Tao and Samui on a clear day.
Practical
Summit position and 627 m elevation from OpenStreetMap (Khao Ra peak); Wikidata places the mountain slightly north (9.7714N 100.0258E). Wikivoyage's Bottle Beach page gives the island's highest point as about 600 m and says resorts offer guided treks. Trailhead, route and duration are not verified: ask at Chaloklum or Thong Sala before setting out, start early and carry plenty of water.
Best for
A full-day jungle summit for crews with shore time
