Koh Phangan Rainy Season (Oct–Dec)
9° 44.4′ N · 100° 1.8′ E · approximate
Phangan's wettest months come late in the year with the onset of the northeast monsoon, when the climate chart roughly triples its rainfall and ferries can be delayed by rough seas.
Practical
Position is the island centre from Wikipedia. Wikivoyage's climate chart for Ko Pha-ngan shows about 306 mm of rain in October, 423 mm in November and 166 mm in December, against about 50–75 mm a month in January–April; high season (calm, clear water) is December–March. The official Full Moon Party site notes October and November are the wettest and that rough seas can delay ferries. In these months the north and east-facing anchorages (Chaloklum, Bottle Beach, Thong Nai Pan, Than Sadet, Haad Rin Nok) become uncomfortable to untenable; the west coast (Thong Sala, Haad Yao, Mae Haad's west side) is the lee.
