The best lookout on Phangan: a short climb above Phaeng waterfall in the island's interior to a rock ledge looking west over the coast toward the Ang Thong islands.

Lookout position from OpenStreetMap (Dom Sila Viewpoint); Phaeng Waterfall itself is at 9.7353N 100.0128E (Wikidata), about a 15-minute hike below. Wikivoyage: inside the Phaeng section of the national park, with a 100 THB entrance fee at the station (date unstated, verify locally), and a second waterfall viewpoint about a 20-minute walk from the falls. Reach it by taxi or scooter from Thong Sala. Little water in the falls in the dry season.
