7° 18.7′ N · 99° 24.1′ E
The fishing-village pier at Ban Chao Mai on the Hat Yao coast, the jumping-off point for longtails to Koh Libong and boats to Koh Kradan.
Practical
Wikipedia: Ko Libong is 30 minutes by longtail from Hat Yao Ban Chao Mai Pier; the Trang province page lists Ban Chao Mai as one of Trang's four island piers (with Pak Meng, Klong Son and Kuan Thung Ku). OpenStreetMap maps the pier (Haad Yao Pier), boat routes to Ko Libong and Ko Kradan, red lateral buoys on the approach at about 7.3024, 99.3970 and 7.3032, 99.4027, the islet Ko Chao Mai Yai just east of the pier and a few guesthouses on the beach. Useful for crew changes from Trang town and Trang airport (TST). No fuel dock or water hose is published; shops are village-level only. Position: OpenStreetMap ferry terminal node.
