Bang Pae Waterfall Trail
8° 2.3′ N · 98° 23.4′ E
An easy forest walk from the Khao Phra Thaeo park entrance to Bang Pae, one of Phuket's three significant waterfalls, where Thai families picnic and paddle in the stream. The gibbon project sits by the car park.
Practical
Coordinate from the OSM waterfall node. Phuket 101: open 8am to 4:30pm; park fee 200 THB per person for foreigners (OSM notes 400 THB, so verify locally); phone 076 527 282. Getting there: from the Heroines Monument circle head toward Bang Pae for about 10 km, turn left at the sign for the waterfall and gibbon centre, then 3 km to the park entrance (about 24 km from Phuket Town). The walk is short and not hard; there is no big swimming pool at the falls. Lunch nearby at Bang Pae Seafood (mangrove-side, Michelin-listed) or Peang Prai.
Best for
